Where the 369 kilometres went
On the Sledi.me map, the route from the Turkish border to the island of Thassos is drawn as a straight line across the Aegean. A straight line on a GPS map means one thing: the device went silent and the system joined the last and first points with a chord - and counted it as a trip. SimpleGPS logged 15,756 positions across the same stretch, because our SIM is global and roaming in Greece and Turkey is included, not an option.
A straight line is not a route
