Teltonika FTM305
The FTM305 is for light electric vehicles - e-bikes, e-scooters, e-forklifts. 4G LTE Cat M1 with GNSS, in a housing small enough to hide inside a frame. It takes anything from 10 to 97 V, which is why it fits the whole range of packs these vehicles run on.
Shipping
We ship within the USA (from Miami, FL) - typically 2-5 business days. Shipping is added at checkout.
What is in the box
- FTM305 device (with an LTE SIM already installed)
- Sticker with IMEI and QR code
- Warranty card (24 months)
Installing it
- Have it wired to the pack. The FTM305 takes its power from the vehicle battery, so it is a job for whoever services the vehicle. On a fleet of scooters or forklifts your service partner will do them in a batch.
- Hide it in the frame. It is small enough to sit inside the frame or under a panel. Somewhere a thief will not look and where plastic rather than metal is above it, so it can still see the sky.
- Let it start up. On first power-up, outdoors, give it a few minutes to find the satellites and join the network.
- Add it and log in. Open your dashboard, press Add device and type the IMEI from the sticker. The vehicle appears on the map as soon as the device reports.
What you get
- Live location, trip history and route replay for every vehicle in the fleet
- Alerts for geofences, towing, speeding and GPS jamming - so a vehicle leaving the yard tells you
- Controller data over CAN with the right adapter and CAN profile
Troubleshooting
It does not show up on the map
Give it a few minutes on first power-up, outdoors. If it is still missing, check that the pack is switched on and that the device is not buried under a metal panel. If that looks right, write to us and we will tell you whether it has reached our server.
Will it drain the pack?
It draws very little, but a light electric vehicle has a much smaller battery than a car. If your vehicles stand for weeks between uses, tell us and we will slow down how often the device reports.
What can I fit it to?
Light electric vehicles with a 10 to 97 V pack - golf carts, e-bikes, e-scooters, e-forklifts and similar. A golf cart is the common one and a straightforward fit: 36, 48 and 72 V packs are all well inside the range and it wires straight to the pack. It is not for cars: a car has a 12 V system and an OBD-II port, and for that the plug-in FMM00A is both cheaper and quicker to fit.
