SimpleGPS vs Zubie
Zubie sells fleet telematics through a demo and a phone call. We publish the number and let you sign up in two minutes. On capability they are a serious platform; on how you buy it, we are the opposite.
Checked on 3 September 2026: zubie.com/pricing returns a 404, there is no pricing link anywhere in the navigation or the footer, and the only commercial button on the site is "Request a Demo". The footer carries two phone numbers - one for sales, one for support.
That is a deliberate model, not an oversight. It works for a buyer running fifty rental cars who wants a scoped quote and an account manager. It works badly for anyone who wants to know, this afternoon, what tracking four vans will cost.
SimpleGPS is $9.99 per vehicle per month for Premium and $14.99 for Fleet, with the tracker at $129.99 or $52 on the annual plan. Those figures are on the pricing page, and you can be running by the end of the day without speaking to anyone.

SimpleGPS keeps full route playback for 31 days, and routes, stops and statistics for 365. We state both numbers because we have them.

On 3 September 2026 zubie.com/pricing returned a 404 and the site offered a demo request instead. We are not going to guess what they charge, and that is the point: neither can you. Ours is $9.99 per vehicle per month, published, with the tracker at $52 on the annual plan.
Self-serve, or scoped
You can open a SimpleGPS account, buy a tracker and be watching a vehicle move the same day, with no call. Zubie routes every buyer through a demo. For four vans that is friction; for four hundred it is probably sensible.
What we do not have
Zubie sells into rental and dealership fleets with the integrations those need. We do not have those, and if that is your business it should decide this for you rather than a price.
Remote engine disable
On a hardwired install with a relay fitted, SimpleGPS can cut the ignition from the app. Zubie does not advertise this.
If you run a rental fleet or a dealership and you want integrations built around that - Zubie sells specifically into both - or if a named account manager is part of what you are buying, Zubie is built for you and we are not. Their platform is aimed at operations of a size where a scoped quote genuinely is the right way to buy.
Bottom line
Zubie is bought by talking to Zubie. SimpleGPS is bought by reading a number and typing a card. Neither is wrong; they answer different questions
